What can you do to help set up our gathering of friends ?

At the main instructables article, I mentioned that you may join in on our undertaking/moai after you finished with my main suggestions. These extra things you may do concretely are the following:

* set up a hotspot for the community. See http://www.free-hotspot.com/become_home.htm for how to do so generally (sharing our connection to members and the general public aswell) and http://www.fon.com/en/info/whatsFon for how we can implement specific services to our community (eg sharing of certain files). The latter, despite the fact that a boxaccount has already been made for the community (see http://healingweb.blogspot.com for info on this) An alternative is the use of mobile ad hoc network-filesharing (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_ad-hoc_network )

* provide places to stay (eg fixed up boats/industrial buildings/ghost towns) for free or at low cost (large-scaled housing may easily be shared).

* set up your own self-beneficial/environmentally-sound projects and/or cooperate with others (possibly community members)

* start growing high-nutrition foodstuffs (as mentioned in my own food-production system; see the zip-file!). Growing high-nutrition foodstuffs and herbs (as siberian ginseng, amaranth, pearl millet, citrus aurantium, ...) could be a intresting business oppoertunity for you too (as they cannot be found in supermarkets, ... much). Set up the project in cooperation with the community. This so that we may profit from increased self-sufficiency; not all members will set up their own food-production system). Do so aswell as we will be the primary buyers for the foodstuffs (atleast in the beginning). Perhaps that cooperation with certain organisations (eg Raymond Kurzweil's Ray and Terry's, see http://www.kurzweiltech.com/ktiflash.html; African Hebrew Isrealites's Kingdom Enterprises, ...) may be achieved

* buying or freely obtaining and fixing up of abandoned boats, empty industrial complexes or ghost towns. This to stay in yourself and/or rent out or to provide living space for refugees, poor people, ... Note that in some cases, these latter people may be employed to execute some kind of work (eg cotton cultivation, ...). As such, you may provide these people with agricultural education (which can be expanded with additional schooling on our self-sufficiency systems, survival techhniques, ...). All this may be done in a approach similar to AgriVenture (thus being able to also provide financial-gains for you aswell).

* find and write to organisations to join our community; an example are the LETS systems and their organisations (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LETS) which would need to be hooked up to the freecycle.org network

* searching for boats/cities with google earth and mapping them out so that they may easily be located and used by our members for the projects mentioned 

* Improve the wikipedia and/or wikipedia commons (eg add e-books or book information). We may obtain practical info from microgeneration, survivalist and self-sufficiency books. Focus especially on certain survivalist techniques as field (star/sun/gps) orientation, knot laying, basic self defence, ... This, as I have not yet been able to provide any good info on this yet.

* We may also legally open-source images from books (eg by drawing them over somewhat differently from the original or based thereon). Finally, open-source images placed on the (eg english) wikipedia may be transferred to wikimedia's "commons" (so that pictures may be viewed for all the different (eg polish, english, spanish) wikipedia's

* Use flash-mobbing websites and flash-mobbing to protest against certain events and/or attract people from outside the organisation (trough the flash-mobbing websites). See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_mob Note that cars may be used to transport people from a arranged meeting location to where the mob is to form.

* make 3d models for my environmental CAD-models and or perfect them or suggest new ideas for them

* spread the information in this instructable around the net (this may be done by pooring into a "wiki" (perhaps adding side information) or putting into a zip-file, trough pooring into a zip-file, ...). The info may be spread via the browser (xhtml, ...) or via p2p-sharing (eg Shareaza, ...)

* create or improve a web-site with my instructable (the instructable itself may be downloaded as html and converted, added with extra's, ...)

* suggest other new ideas for my models (eg the food production system may also be modified to include other fruits as indiginous African/"new world" fruits, ... See the wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropical_agriculture and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fruits#Tropical_fruits) and/or your other own life support systems for autonomous houses

* try to make the Wikipedia commons book of book I suggested called "the only knots you'll ever need" (see the open letters map in my zip-file)
